there are about 50 jillion things that i actually really neeeeeed to blog about,
like the mini sessions,
TWO (count ’em) TWOOOOO weddings,
several families,
a fun session from florida,
and especially, especially the p r o j e c t [click on it] i’ve been working on for

three months

(and that I really really really hope you all come to! because it will be amazing
and make you feel good.)
i am so behind on blogging.
but it’s getting to the point of being overwhelming.
so i did what i always do in just such a situation…
stay up WAY too late
play on photoshop
with something completely frivilous.
enter new funky framed silhouette of max.
awesome.

I really promised myself that I would not be doing any more quick one shot posts, as they annoy even ME. Oh, but when I edited this shot, I couldn’t stop staring at it. Little Jonas (Jonesy, as his family calls him) is beyond perfection!
Don’t you agree?

And I am simply obsessed with his name.
I wonder if they would mind if I borrowed it for one of my own some day. . .
not an announcement of any kind.

for amy f.

aren’t they the most gorgeous family  of four? I loved taking this families pictures. they are so cute and the girls had the most adorable little outfits. I contacted amy a few months ago hoping she could fit my family in for a session and was a little shocked when she was interested in a trade. I really love amy’s photography and have been following her blog for a while now, so to be honest, I was honored. And probably a little (or a lot?) intimidated too! It was a relief to find out that she was so kind and genuine. My nerves quickly became a thing of the past. Thanks for the fun afternoon Amy! It was nice meeting you… in person that is.
I can’t wait for our family session with AMY tomorrow! I can’t for the life of me decide what we’re going to wear….

miss estee was not too sure she wanted much to do with me or my camera, but we managed to get this adorable little smile to come out for a minute!

I love this one purely for those chubby little thighs. Nothing better than baby legs!

I died when I saw this one. They are the most striking couple!

We are leaving this week for the happiest place on earth (the one in Florida). This trip couldn’t have come at a better time! Lately I have been taking a few too many many pictures and working a little too much. As much as I LOVE my job as a photographer and feel so blessed to be have it, I am I am REALLY looking forward to leaving that job behind for a while and focus on my other job. You know, the MAIN job.

The one where I get to be the mother of this child. This means playing with him, teaching him, experiencing the world with him. Just plain loving him and soaking up his beautiful little self.

Boy am I lucky.
Don’t worry, we’ll be back soon. Hopefully with lots of lovely little experiences to treasure as our souvenirs.
well and of course there will be pictures.
